Hi there!
The Royal family's not as popular as they used to be here in L.A. before. I dare say their role has changed a lot. Firstly, they've become part of the showbiz stuff we see everyday on TV (just like every popular politician, namely, US candidates). Second reason (but, again, I warn you: I guess I'm not up-to-date or well-informed
): in spite of their good acts, social (and public) contributions and all these things you can think of, they're not seen as reliable rulers or authorities of a nation.
However, they've somehow supported many causes in their nation, which is priceless in my opinion. Oh! And I'm just talking about the boys, because I'm not keen on Prince Charles - who, by the way, has displayed negative values towards citizens and even towards his family, affecting our viewpoint on the Royal family as the future of the UK.
Please correct me if I'm wrong!
