Rickrolling!

Have you ever been Rick-roll'd? Rickrolling!
What's this? It's a kind of joke which has become popular in the Internet these last months. While you're clicking on different links which are supposed to be helpful for your on-line search, you come across Rick Astley's video Never Gonna Give You Up.
It comes to be annoying because 1) you were really concentrated on your search, and 2) the video starts playing, 'making noise' in places such as Internet Cafés, libraries, etc. However, some people enjoy being Rick-roll'd.
I wonder why they chose that song, anyway... According to an American survey, more than 18 million people have been rick-roll'd, even in live TV broadcast.

It's happened to me twice, has it happened to you?

Useful information for not being Rick-roll'd.

Do you know any other tendency similar to this? I've read there have been many!!

I never heard about "rickroll" and I guess I never been rick-rolled (or I didn't realize it). But after I read your article and attachments (the links), it improved not only my vocabulary but also my social knowledge, and I feel that I join this forum is not bad at all since I can learn more about English, and get some word surfing. Thanks!!

I guess no, and hope never. But I ever got a lot of bulk-mail in my email; so many that made me change my email address. ><" Is this kind of web prank?

I guess you haven't, thank heaven!!

Junk or bulk mail (also known as SPAM) isn't a prank; however, it IS a way of cybercrime! It's made me change twice my E-Mail address, too. That's bad, too bad!! :-(

A warm hug for you!! :-)

* The attached file is a BBC podcast about cybercrime. My students thought it was a joke...
